The secretive Magic Leap just let out a few hints as to what’s going on in it’s southern California base of operations. The development teams are actually incorporating history into their technology…history from a galaxy far, far away. Yeah, something already mysterious and cool, just got cooler.

Aside from utilizing a mixed reality to trick your brain into believing digital images are truly present in your room, we can thank the business side of things for making this gem a reality.It only became possible once we saw a partnership form between Magic Leap and xLab, a division of Lucasfilms. The two companies have come together to have you meet the robots of Star Wars—a childhood dream most of us thought we could actually experience!
However, don’t get too excited just yet. Magic Leap founder Rony Abovitz has never mentioned a release date for his technology, or even whether it will be in the form of a pair of glasses or lenses. While the teaser trailers of the technology are exciting, they only leave you more impatient, hoping for a release date to be announced soon.
